As October comes to an end on October 31, people across India are gearing up to celebrate Diwali with great enthusiasm on Thursday. Meanwhile, the weather is showing signs of change in various parts of the country.

In Delhi-NCR, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 6 to 7 degrees Celsius higher than usual. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are also experiencing warmer conditions, with temperatures remaining high. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for rain in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Goa, and the Konkan region.

No Significant Weather Change in Delhi-NCR Until November 15

According to the IMD, there will be no major weather changes in Delhi-NCR until November 15. A slight drop in temperature may occur after November 5. Light snowfall is expected in the high-altitude areas of Kashmir on Tuesday. The upper regions of the valley are predicted to have cloudy skies with light rain or snowfall over the next two days.

Uttar Pradesh Weather Alert

A change in weather is anticipated in Uttar Pradesh. The IMD forecasts that cold winds and light rain may affect many districts, including Prayagraj and Varanasi. Cold conditions are expected to increase after Diwali in most parts of the state.

Rain Warning in Other States

Some areas of Jharkhand have been dry in recent days, leading to continued heat during the day but cooler mornings and evenings.

The IMD has predicted heavy rains and thunderstorms in Goa, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. Snowfall is also possible in the northern hilly areas within the next 24 hours. This may lead to a drop in temperatures in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

Diwali Preparations Amid Changing Weather

Preparations for Diwali are in full swing in Delhi-NCR. Although the usual seasonal cold is lacking, which might dampen some festive enthusiasm, relief from the warm weather is expected as November begins.

Rain Forecast in Karnataka and Odisha

The IMD has also predicted rain in some areas of Karnataka and Odisha. Due to snowfall in the mountainous regions, cold weather is expected to intensify in North India in the coming days.

Weather in Ghaziabad

Today, Ghaziabad is expected to have a maximum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 14 degrees Celsius. This indicates cool weather in Ghaziabad today. Residents may feel cold at night, and even during the day due to the lower temperatures.
