Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has stressed that the government is focused on creating a modern, technology-driven military to protect the country from new and emerging threats.

Speaking at the National Defence College (NDC) convocation in New Delhi, Rajnath Singh said it is essential for military leaders to think critically and adapt to changes quickly. He encouraged them to use the latest technologies to stay prepared for any situation in today’s fast-changing world. Singh also highlighted the need for military leaders to be strategic thinkers who can anticipate future conflicts and understand global politics.

The Defence Minister pointed out that warfare has evolved beyond traditional battlefields. Today, cyber-attacks, disinformation, and even economic warfare can harm a nation without using conventional weapons. He emphasized the importance of being prepared for cyber and information warfare, alongside traditional military operations.

Rajnath Singh also mentioned that technologies like drones, autonomous vehicles, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Computing are changing the way wars are fought. He encouraged military leaders to explore how these technologies can be used to strengthen India’s defence.

His message is clear: a tech-savvy military is crucial for the country’s security and future.
