In a shocking development, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has allegedly taken responsibility for the assassination of Baba Siddique, a prominent NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister. The 66-year-old politician was fatally shot while leaving his Bandra West office on the evening of October 12th, 2024.

The claim emerged through a viral social media post, purportedly from a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which attributed the killing to Siddique’s alleged connections with Bollywood actor Salman Khan, as well as notorious underworld figures Dawood Ibrahim and Anuj Thapan.

The post, which opened with religious chants, reportedly stated: “I understand the essence of life and see wealth and the body as mere dust. I acted out of a sense of duty and friendship. We did not want this conflict, but circumstances forced us into action.”

It further alleged that Baba Siddique’s past dealings in Bollywood, politics, and property—particularly his association with Dawood Ibrahim—were the reasons behind the assassination. The gang member warned of potential repercussions for those aiding Salman Khan or his associates.

Following the shooting, Siddique was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Mumbai Police have since classified the incident as a contract killing. Two suspects, Gurmail Baljit Singh from Haryana and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh, have been apprehended, while a third suspect, Shiv Kumar, remains at large.

Police officials have revealed that the murder was premeditated, with weapons being provided to the suspects in advance. Investigations are ongoing, as authorities work to track down the mastermind behind this high-profile crime.
