Bengaluru, known as India’s IT capital, is experiencing flood-like conditions due to heavy rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that more rain will continue in the city today, Friday, October 25. The weather agency forecasts a generally cloudy sky with light rain, and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 21 degrees Celsius.

A heavy thunderstorm on Tuesday night caused severe flooding in Bengaluru North. While water has receded from most affected houses and roads, some streets still have stagnant water.

According to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), over 1,000 homes in 28 residential areas in the Yelahanka zone were flooded on Monday night. The stagnant water remained until Tuesday evening. Authorities have pumped out water in several areas, and in some places, it has naturally drained away. Currently, water has receded everywhere except at Kendriya Vihar Apartments in Yelahanka.

The IMD has forecast additional rain for Bengaluru over the next two days. It predicts light to moderate rainfall in isolated areas throughout Karnataka for the rest of the week.
