Liverpool’s vice-captain, Trent Alexander-Arnold, isn’t distracted by the growing transfer rumors surrounding his future. The 26-year-old right-back has been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid as his contract with Liverpool ends this season. However, Alexander-Arnold recently mentioned that he won’t be discussing his contract situation publicly.

Since debuting for Liverpool in 2016, after rising through the youth ranks, Alexander-Arnold has had an impressive career. He has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and Club World Cup. Other key players like captain Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are also nearing the end of their contracts.

Liverpool’s head coach, Arne Slot, dismissed any concerns about these players being distracted by transfer talks. “These players are mentally strong and used to being linked to top clubs. They’re focused on their game and playing well,” he said ahead of the match against Chelsea.

Slot also gave an update on Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. He hopes the Brazilian international will be back before Christmas but will know more in a few weeks.

Liverpool is currently at the top of the Premier League with 18 points from seven games.
